The Random Blogging of a Performing Songwriter
On this blog, I share my thoughts about songwriting. Mostly.
I think it may also have some interesting life lessons, one way or another. My take is, that to be a good songwriter (and I realize that the word “good” is one of those amorphous, completely subjective words), one also needs to be a student of life, have many interests, and be interested in lifelong learning.
I’ve been writing songs since 1973. Not “good” songs. I was 13 years old in 1973. But I’ve learned a few things along the way, and I’d like to share them. These are things that obviously represent my views, and reflect the kinds of songs I like. You may take them or leave them. We all have different tastes. As it should be. But, please leave comments for me – whether you liked my post or not. We can only grow stronger together with a good, honest dialog.
Thanks for reading, and enjoy! (Or not. Your choice.)
